The short version: we introduce, you contract. Setsebi is not a party to the training engagement.

The five things that matter

  1. Setsebi introduces. The contract for any training is between you and the practitioner, and we are not a party to it.
  2. Every listing has passed two checks before appearing: a WhatsApp confirmation from the applicant's own number, then a check by a person here.
  3. Those checks confirm what a practitioner claims. They are not a guarantee of how an engagement will go, and they are not an accreditation.
  4. There will be no unverified tier. Once the checks are switched on, an entry that has not passed both will not be published at all.
  5. Any listing can be removed from publication at any time.

What we do

Setsebi lists training practitioners and providers who have passed both of its checks, and introduces them to organisations that have posted a need. The engagement, the contract, the fee and the delivery are between the organisation and the provider.

What verification means

Two checks are designed into this register, and both are conditions of appearing rather than badges earned afterwards. Neither is switched on yet. Until they are, every post reads Post not confirmed and nothing on this site has been checked by us. The first will be a one-time code emailed to the address given, which is what will cause a post to be recorded at all. The second will be a check by a person here: identity and registration where applicable, references contacted, declared scope confirmed, a rate band recorded and delivery capability confirmed. The site will never state which of those earned a verification.

Those checks, once running, test what a provider claims. They are not a guarantee of the outcome of any engagement and they are not an accreditation. There will be no unverified tier - an entry that has not passed both will not be published - and an entry can be removed from publication at any time. Everything a person states about themselves is declared, and is published as their account rather than ours.

Providers

You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing, for holding any licence or accreditation you claim, and for delivering what you contract to deliver. Materially inaccurate claims, or a pattern of failed engagements, result in removal from the register.

Organisations

Do your own diligence before contracting. Ask for the references - we hold them and will pass them on. Nothing on this register removes your responsibility for who you let in front of your people.

On training levies and grants

Anything published here about training levies, grants or claims is general information about how those schemes work, not advice about your organisation. Rules differ by market and change. Confirm your position with the administering body or your own advisers before relying on it.

Fees

Browsing the register, posting a need, being listed and being checked carry no charge to you. Where any fee arrangement applies to an engagement, it is agreed in writing with the party concerned before the engagement begins, and it is never applied retrospectively. Placement in the register is not for sale.

Governing law

Setsebi is operated by Cabanga Platforms, a company registered in Botswana. These terms are governed by the laws of Botswana.
