setsebi The register of training practitioners

Remote and cross-border

A specialist two countries away can train your people live. This is not a fallback on the register - it is a first-class delivery mode and it is why the supply pool is regional.

A room in one country, a practitioner in another, and the session running between them

The six delivery modes

Every practitioner on the register declares which of these they work in.

Why it matters more here than elsewhere

The depth of specialist supply in any one city in this region is thin. If your search stops at the city limits, a firm in a small town needing directorship training for eight managers has no realistic option at all, and a firm in a capital pays whatever the two available providers ask.

Open the search to four markets and both problems disappear. The practitioner who has actually run the function you need is usually alive and working - just not in your town.

What it costs, honestly

Remote delivery removes flights, accommodation, per diems and travel days from the invoice, which on a cross-border engagement is routinely a third of the total. It does not remove preparation, and a good practitioner will not discount their day rate simply because they delivered it from a desk.

What it changes is who you can afford. The specialist who was out of reach because of travel cost is frequently within budget once travel comes out.

Hybrid and blended

Hybrid puts some delegates in a room and some on a screen, which is harder than either and needs a facilitator who has done it. Blended runs a live session and then follow-up over weeks - and for supervisory and management training it is usually the format that actually changes behaviour, because people apply a piece before the next one arrives.
